Ditzler code IM1011 - red
This red automotive paint color is most commonly known as Ford Maroon. Other common color promotional names include Mansion Maroon and Cardinal Maroon. The color formulation has been used between 1930 and 1936, primarily by Ford; but also by Oldsmobile, Buick. See the full detailed list below.

IM1011 is a paint code for PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass) who has been providing automotive paints since 1924 (originally Ditzler Color Company subsidiary acquired in 1928). PPG/Ditzler codes starting with the letters "IM" indicate Ditz-Lac colored lacquers and polychromatics (fine aluminum powder added) and were used before 1940.
